Trek to Scared Lakes

Trek to Sacred Lakes

Langtang Scared Lake trekking is one of the wonderful treks off the beaten path, filled with beautiful scenery and Nepali cultural experience. We can make our way through the Forests filled with National flower of Nepal (Rhododendron); it blooms during the spring season. The rhododendron flower, from gentle pink to deep red, covers the hills during the spring season. Sights that will make us feel as if we are in paradise. The trail will lead us to three holy mountain lakes – Gosain kunda, Saraswoti kunda and Bhairab kunda. These lakes are scared to the Hindus. Many Hindu pilgrims flock to Gosain Kunda to take a purifying ritual bath during full moon day in July. The panoramic and mesmerizing view of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Himal Chuli, Langtang Lirung and a few Tibetan peaks will remain within our view throughout the trek. Jumacho Kharka, close to the mountain river a tributary of the Lamo Kund, is one of the scared lakes in this area.
